Mom and I each entered a quilt in a quilt show.
Mom talked me into it. So this year we both entered a quilt in the Rim Country Quilt Roundup quilt show. It was cool to see our quilts hanging in the show. I did not win anything but my quilt was considered for 2 awards. I love the quilt that I entered. I had the pattern first and when I saw the Marmalade line of fabric I knew it was I wanted for that quilt. The quilt is named Marmalade Ranch. Here it is at the show.
I tried to get a better shot of it in the light.
a bit closer. It quilted in an edge to edge all over fancy feather panto pattern.
During the quilt show weekend we took a class from Sharon Schamber. We took the fanciful feather class. My plan is that one day I will be good a freehand
feathers, I draw them on scrap paper, in my sketch book and when I’m warming up
to quilt.
